Software Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs on AWS, automate deployments with IaC and CI/CD, and ensure system reliability with monitoring and security integrations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure alignment and project success
- Take proactive ownership of production systems to maintain reliability and performance
- Develop and maintain Java backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x to deliver scalable solutions
- Design, build, and support microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs to enable seamless integration and functionality
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS services including ECS, EC2, and RDS to ensure cloud infrastructure stability
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate and standardize environment provisioning
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, and CodePipeline to streamline software delivery
- Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and other relational databases to support data-driven applications
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using Grafana and AWS CloudWatch to ensure operational excellence
- Manage authentication and authorization processes using Okta to secure applications and data
- Integrate APIs using MuleSoft to facilitate communication between disparate systems and services
