Software Engineer (Smart IoT Systems)
Summary
Develops and deploys cloud-native IoT data analytics software, processing real-time sensor data and building APIs for Industry 4.0 applications.
We are looking for a candidate with an interest in industrial IoT, data analysis and developing novel, cutting-edge data analytics software for industry 4.0 applications.
Job Scope:
- Determine user requirements and system design in collaboration with product managers, project teams and cloud engineers.
- Design and develop data processing, data monitoring and analytics scripts.
- Conduct data analysis using statistical and analytical techniques and develop analytics modules for real-time IoT data.
- Design and develop efficient APIs for data transfer and extraction.
- Application development and deployment using Cloud Native Services.
- System Administration duties such as monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, system recovery, perform periodic software updates.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma / bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or any related disciplines.
- 1-3 years’ programming experience with Python, Java, C++, or equivalent languages.
- Experience in developing web applications and RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in processing large datasets from IoT sensor data.
- Good working knowledge of statistics and data analytics techniques.
- Experience in cloud services and deployment on either AWS or Azure.
- Experience with databases such as SQL and MongoDB.
- Familiar with containerisation platforms and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of IoT architectures and associated internet and data transmission protocols such as MQTT, Apache Kafka etc.
