Software Engineer (Smart IoT Systems)

We are looking for a candidate with an interest in industrial IoT, data analysis and developing novel, cutting-edge data analytics software for industry 4.0 applications.

Job Scope:

• Determine user requirements and system design in collaboration with product managers, project teams and cloud engineers.
• Design and develop data processing, data monitoring and analytics scripts.
• Conduct data analysis using statistical and analytical techniques and develop analytics modules for real-time IoT data.
• Design and develop efficient APIs for data transfer and extraction.
• Application development and deployment using Cloud Native Services.
• System Administration duties such as monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, system recovery, perform periodic software updates.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or any related disciplines.
• 1-3 years’ programming experience with Python, Java, C++, or equivalent languages.
• Experience in developing web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in processing large datasets from IoT sensor data.
• Good working knowledge of statistics and data analytics techniques.
• Experience in cloud services and deployment on either AWS or Azure.
• Experience with databases such as SQL and MongoDB.
• Familiar with containerisation platforms and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of IoT architectures and associated internet and data transmission protocols such as MQTT, Apache Kafka etc.
