Software Engineer Storage

You will own the data layer, including databases, caches, and strategies for provisioning, querying, and scaling data stores. You will design resilient multi-database architecture, build query guardrails, establish storage-engine guidance, and manage cache reliability and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Design a partitioned and resilient data architecture
• Build database query attribution and guardrails
• Define data-store selection guidance and golden pathways
• Own cache infrastructure reliability and capacity planning
• Establish cache correctness patterns for product teams

Requirements

• Experience with relational databases at scale
• Knowledge of Postgres, MySQL, or similar OLTP systems
• Experience with database sharding, migration, or decomposition in production
• Knowledge of tradeoffs among storage engines
• Knowledge of backups, monitoring, query performance, and capacity planning
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
