Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Islamabad. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain backend and full-stack software applications, collaborating closely with other engineers, product managers, and QA professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing object-oriented solutions, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance and scalability. The role involves participating in code reviews, contributing to technical design discussions, and following established development workflows and best practices. The Software Engineer will also help improve existing systems, support deployment processes, and ensure that technical solutions meet product and business requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with the ability to design, implement, and debug applications.
- Practical skills in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and familiarity with common design patterns.
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and related tooling.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to analyze requirements, write clear technical documentation, and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), unit testing, and basic security and performance considerations is beneficial.
