Software Factory Architect

We are looking for a Software Factory Architect to support the ICT Architecture Team in Warsaw.

The role focuses on software development methodologies, DevSecOps, and Software Factory architecture. You will provide software engineering consultancy, act as a trusted technical advisor, design software development lifecycles and processes, and review end-to-end software solution architectures for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations in software engineering areas and act as a trusted technical advisor.

• Design software development lifecycles and associated processes.

• Recommend architectural decisions and review end-to-end software solution architectures for complex projects.

• Own and evolve the engineering vision across the Software Factory.

• Define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices.

• Ensure consistency and alignment of architectures across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in IT.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.

• Master’s degree or equivalent Level 7 education.

• Strong knowledge of software architecture design for complex and distributed systems.

• Proven experience with cloud-native architectures.

• Hands-on experience with backend and/or frontend development, such as .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD strategy, platform design, container orchestration, and platform engineering concepts.

• Strong understanding of various architecture styles.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.

• Experience in system modelling using ArchiMate notation.

• Ability to define architecture visions, evaluate technical risks, and make high-impact decisions.

• Ability to influence teams without direct authority.

• Experience mentoring senior engineers and development leads.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.

• English at minimum B2 level.

Required certifications

At least two certifications, or internationally recognized equivalents, from the following list are mandatory:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.

• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
