SoftwareOne Romania is looking to appoint a Software Asset Management Specialist to help strengthen how we manage, govern and optimize third-party software. In this role, you will combine licensing knowledge, analytical thinking and stakeholder collaboration to support compliant, cost-effective software use for the business and our clients. You will also contribute to software catalogue governance, process simplification and automation to improve productivity and spend management.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate activities related to software demand, sourcing, vendor agreements and license compliance across selected third-party software areas
- Maintain high-quality software asset data and support related service management processes, ensuring key asset attributes are accurate and reliable
- Provide guidance on software licensing models, including SaaS, perpetual and subscription agreements, and recommend suitable options for business needs
- Use cost-benefit analysis to uncover savings opportunities and support license consolidation and optimization
- Act as a central contact for specific third-party software, providing advice and consultation to end-users and clients
- Identify, assess and support remediate license-related risks linked to prohibited, unmanaged or unlicensed software, supporting compliance, audit readiness and cyber security standards
