Software Project Manager
Company: Rendy
Location: Pathum Wan
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
Rendy is seeking a highly adaptable and strategic Software Project Manager to guide our engineering teams and oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between our business objectives and technical execution. You will not just track tasks and timelines; you will actively remove roadblocks, translate complex technical requirements for stakeholders, and protect the engineering team's focus to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Delivery: Own the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
Cross-Functional Translation: Act as the primary liaison between engineering, product, marketing, and executive stakeholders, translating business goals into actionable engineering tasks and explaining technical constraints in clear business terms.
Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement in team velocity and processes.
Risk & Dependency Management: Look ahead to identify potential bottlenecks, cross-team dependencies, and resource constraints, solving them proactively before they impact the development cycle.
Scope & Shielding: Manage scope creep aggressively, acting as a shield for the development team against sudden, unvetted external requests while maintaining a healthy, sustainable team pace.
Decision Velocity: Drive technical and product trade-off discussions, helping teams overcome analysis paralysis and make pragmatic decisions that align with release deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of project management experience in a software development or tech-focused environment.
Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies and how to tailor them to a team’s specific working style.
Technical Fluency: Strong familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices. (Previous experience as a developer or systems analyst is a strong plus).
Tool Mastery: Proficiency with project management and issue-tracking software such as Jira, Asana, Linear, or Trello.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage expectations across all levels of an organization.
Ideal Characteristics
Highly Adaptable: You remain calm when requirements shift and can pivot resources and timelines without causing team panic.
Protective Empathy: You are a servant-leader who prioritizes team health, recognizes the signs of burnout, and actively advocates for your developers.
Detail-Oriented Foresight: You track the minutiae of daily tickets while maintaining a strategic view of the broader product roadmap.
Pragmatic: You balance the desire for technical perfection with the business necessity of shipping product.
