Role & responsibilities

Responsible for the testing of social/e-commerce application in Web/Mobile as part of a collaborative team. Responsible for creating test plans and test cases in partnership with other QA engineers, developers and client managers which are used to shape and check conformance to system requirements.

Primary Skills

• Experience in the Web/Mobile App Testing
• Experience in the E-Commerce, Social Networking, Gaming Console Domains
• Experience in the device testing (Mobile, TV, Gaming Console, Set-top box etc.)
• Experience in requirement analysis, test design and test case development.
• Working knowledge in the Bug life cycle and test life cycle
• Exposure to all types of testing (including Exploratory & Ad hoc testing)
• Working knowledge of Test & Defect Management tools like qTest, ALM, JIRA, and Rally etc.
• Quick learner, adaptability, able to find the defects quickly
• Create, Maintain, manage and enforce Test plan, Test Strategy
• Risk analysis and mitigation
• Proactively identify solutions to improve the efficiency of the testing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good Logical/Analytical reasoning

Good to have Skills

• Familiarity with Agile Process
• Experience in the Social networking domain
• Able to configure the automation environment and run the automation tests
• Hands-on experience in any of the programming language

Responsibilities and Duties

• Should be able to work from office every day
• Create new strategies and process to find the defects
• Creating RCAs for the defect leakages
• Contribute to Test coverage improvement and improve efficiency of testing.
• Communicating with clients/onsite teams
• Mentor other engineers across the projects.
• Environment setup & Execute test cases under varying circumstances
• Collaborate with stake holders across organization (cross timezone)
• Create test reports and evaluate test results
