Job Description
The project aims to develop a new generation of systems capable of reporting and disseminating information on incidents in real time. The solution will implement the new requirements set out in the regulation recently adopted by the European Commission. As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the overall solution architecture, translating business and technical requirements into robust architectural designs, supporting development teams throughout the software lifecycle, evaluating technical solutions, and ensuring that the system meets the required levels of security, quality, scalability and maintainability.
Responsibilities
Defining and maintaining the solution architecture: Designing the overall system architecture, translating business, functional and technical requirements into scalable and secure architectural solutions.
Designing system interoperability and integration: Defining interfaces between system components and external platforms, ensuring interoperability across distributed systems, selecting appropriate integration patterns and technologies, and maintaining architectural consistency throughout the system lifecycle.
Leading architectural governance and technology selection: Establishing architecture standards and best practices, evaluating technologies and solution alternatives.
Supporting system planning and software development: Estimating software development activities, analysing existing systems, contributing to solution design and change management and ensuring the solution remains scalable, maintainable and aligned with business objectives.
Producing technical documentation and providing technical leadership: Preparing architectural documentation and technical presentations, communicating architectural decisions to stakeholders, mentoring development teams.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, including at least 2 years in software architecture for large-scale enterprise systems.
A Higher education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Proven expertise in designing enterprise software solutions based on service-oriented architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) concepts and microservices architectures.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, including event-driven architectures, Apache Kafka, GraphQL APIs and Redis, with experience integrating complex software systems.
Experience working in Agile (Scrum), ability to lead technical discussions, define architectural standards, mentor development teams, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
