Role Summary

Autonomous Workspace Solution Architects (SA) are responsible for delivering solution designs to projects. Key objectives: fit for purpose, the right portfolio fit, technical integrity, right TCO (total cost of ownership) through its life cycle and a good fit with the IT technology direction of the client. The resultant High-Level Design have a measurable impact on the effectiveness and profitability of the client.

Key Responsibilities

Provide digital workspace solution architecture development, consultancy, and assurance to projects, making sure solutions are well designed and conform to the clients standards and reference/segment architectures. The Autonomous Workspace Solution Architect is accountable to the Project Manager for the architecture of a solution being developed and implemented until the successful deployment of the solution. This includes:

· Being the point of call for all architecture aspects of an IT Project (in line with Project Delivery Framework).

· Being able to address the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution and to document that in a SAHLD (Solution Architecture High Level Design document). Develop this information or else receive this from other parties involved (Data Architects, Technology Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Information Risk Management (IRM), IT Services and Operations, Enterprise Technology Service Operation Management etc)

· Ensure project’s solution architecture is documented using the templates, BiZZdesign/ArchiMate tooling and conforms to standards (incl IRM, Target Operating Environment (TOE), etc) and utilizes the available reference models

· Actively work to identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve architecture issues and risks. In case solutions cannot be 100% compliant with standards proactively seek input from the relevant function to obtain step-out approval

· Coach technical consultants, and business analysts (etc.) in projects during their design work.

· Reviewing and accepting the detailed design of an IT solution and related testing plan. In case changes are required to existing solutions, seek functional (re)approval as needed and ensure solution architecture and other documentation is updated to reflect the changes

· Support Segment Architects and reviews through the Architecture Review Board as required.

· Take an active role in documenting, improving & ever greening the models in BiZZdesign, lifting projects deliverables to the Conceptual and Logical levels, working with the Business and other relevant Subject Matter Experts.

· Stay in touch with IT Technology developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in architecting solutions. Ensure solutions are ‘future-proof’

· Stay in touch with development of standards and standard services in IT. To ensure the latest service developments are considered.

· Maintain good relationships with relevant delivery / competence center teams

· Interact with stakeholders on architecture issues and strategic improvements where such expertise is required.

· Aligning solution architecture with autonomous workspace architecture principals and roadmaps as defined by the segment.

· Understanding of architecture modelling standards, using BiZZdesign for architecture modelling (using ArchiMate modelling language).

Challenges:

Programs and Projects are inherently resource- and time constrained. Therefore, there often exists tension between cost, time, and risk considerations on one hand and quality, supportability, and architectural compliance on the other. With help of the relevant functions the Autonomous Workspace Solution Architect must find the right balance between these.

The Autonomous Workspace Solution Architect must be able to integrate all architecture disciplines (Data, Application, Integration, Technology, and Security)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Understand the implications of the shift to more agile working practices. Show willingness to assist with leaner practices

Experience & Skills Required

· Applicant must have around 5 years of experience in developing automation solution in workspace device and workspace application related domains.

· Additionally, applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in roles where they held similar accountabilities to those listed above to develop solution architecture designs – preferably demonstrate experience with ‘enterprise scale’ solutions.

· Applicant must have at least 1 year experience with developing automation related to device management infrastructure as code involving management of Windows, macOS, mobile devices including iOS, iPadOS & Android Enterprise.

· Experience in identification of automation usecases analysing incident tickets, experience management tools, event logs etc using analytical capabilities of PowerBI, QlikView, R Lang, Python or similar tools/platforms.

· Demonstratable experience of automating application and device management, both testing & configuration aspects using unified endpoint management platforms. Developing solutions, options analysis, conceptual modelling, data matrix creation, interface design, application mapping etc.

· Technical document writing including but not limited to creation of executive summary, flow diagrams, interface views, logical graphical view creation for quick understating etc.

· Relevant experience of best practices in workspace related automation aspects.

· Experience with one or more architecture modelling standards (ArchiMate preferred)

· Aware of Architecture frameworks, principles, policies, standards, and governance processes (or related like TOGAF) – preferably TOGAF certified.
