About the role

Compensation: USD 180,000–200,000 annually

We are looking for a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and enterprise data architecture to design and deliver modern cloud and data solutions across a diverse portfolio of client engagements and internal innovation projects.

This is a high-impact role for an architect who enjoys translating complex business and data requirements into scalable, secure, and well-integrated cloud architectures. You will work across multiple teams, clients, and initiatives, shaping technical solutions, evaluating emerging technologies, developing proof-of-concepts, and supporting Sales and Pre-Sales activities.

The position combines cloud architecture, modern data platforms, technical leadership, and solution consulting, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. You will help design enterprise data solutions involving ingestion, transformation, lakehouses, warehouses, analytics, and integrations across multiple systems.

As part of the Solutions Division, you will provide architectural guidance to delivery teams, collaborate with Sales on technical discovery and solution design, and contribute to developing reusable cloud and data offerings that address enterprise customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and technical design of cloud-based and data-centric solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Translate business requirements and data challenges into scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise architectures.
  • Design modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, selecting appropriate approaches for data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and consumption.
  • Define data architecture strategies involving Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, data pipelines, semantic models, and integrated analytics solutions.
  • Evaluate integration approaches across Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, APIs, databases, and existing enterprise systems.
  • Develop and guide proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and proof-of-values (PoVs) to validate architectural decisions, demonstrate feasibility, and reduce technical risks.
  • Establish cloud and data architecture best practices covering security, governance, performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Sales teams on technical discovery, solution design, proposals, and rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) estimates.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering and data teams throughout implementation and delivery.
  • Evaluate Microsoft cloud and data technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flows, integration patterns, governance models, and implementation guidelines.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and recommended solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to develop reusable cloud and data solutions, accelerators, and technical offerings.

Requirements

  • Strong background in cloud architecture, data architecture, data engineering, or software engineering, with experience designing enterprise solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and services.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including relevant components such as OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, and Power BI, depending on project needs.
  • Experience designing and implementing modern data architectures involving ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data integration, data quality, and data governance principles.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases and enterprise data systems.
  • Understanding of Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architecture patterns, including their benefits, limitations, and trade-offs.
  • Experience integrating data platforms with APIs, enterprise applications, and external data sources.
  • Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, networking, monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management.
  • Experience supporting technical discovery, Pre-Sales solutioning, architecture discussions, or project estimation.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and implementation strategies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, data, business, and client-facing teams.
  • Strong ownership, adaptability, and accountability for architectural decisions and outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, two days per week.
  • Permanent U.S
  • work authorization, without requiring sponsorship, transfer, or extension of work authorization now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, or other Azure data services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview or comparable data governance and cataloging solutions.
  • Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and data lakehouse implementations.
  • Experience with Power BI, semantic models, and enterprise analytics.
  • Familiarity with Python, PySpark, or other data engineering languages and frameworks.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML or Generative AI capabilities into enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud deployment automation.
  • Experience developing reusable cloud and data accelerators or packaged technical offerings.

Benefits

  • Results-Driven Culture: Work in an outcome-focused environment with meaningful projects, clear ownership, and accountability.
