Solutions Consultant

The role & it's impact:

As a Solutions Consultant you will act as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner, working alongside our sales team to deliver custom solution designs for accounting practice partners. You will translate complex partner requirements into scalable workflow strategies, identifying potential risks early and helping client firms unlock maximum long-term value from the Xero platform.

By combining deep accounting knowledge with consultative technical expertise, you will lead solution scoping, conduct tailored product demonstrations, and guide partners through seamless migrations. Your efforts will directly drive active software adoption, transforming accountants and bookkeepers into passionate, long-term champions.

The team & how they connect:

You will join a collaborative team of five reporting directly to our Partner Consulting Manager. The team serves as the vital bridge between account executives, product engineering, and external practice partners. Together, you will share market insights internally to shape product features while co-designing tailored technical strategies for client growth.

Initially, the role will focus on:

• Leading technical discovery and tailored solution scoping in partnership with Account Executives

• Designing and delivering engaging, custom product demonstrations to address specific firm workflow challenges

• Guiding new practice partners through cloud implementation, workflow mapping, and early adoption up skilling

• Providing expert technical support during sales cycles to overcome operational roadblocks and objections

We support a flexible hybrid working model designed to give you balance while keeping you connected. This role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane, with modern office facilities available for collaborative workshops, team connection, and boost days, alongside flexible work-from-home options.

Here are some of the things we are looking for:

• Solid operational experience gained directly within an accounting or bookkeeping practice environment

• Proven success in consultative problem solving, pre-sales or technical solution design within complex environments

• Strong ability to communicate complex concepts simply and present engaging sessions or demonstrations to diverse audiences

• Deep familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms and broader practice workflow software ecosystems

• Practical experience or comfort leveraging modern productivity technologies, including AI tools, to build efficient solutions

• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the confidence to navigate ambiguity and partner effectively across internal and external teams
