| Role Description: |
The Specialist, Graphics supports all authority-wide visual communications. This position provides overall graphic design services including photography and illustration for presentations, documents, logos, electronic media, social media, and display advertising.
| Essential Duties & Responsibilities: |
Assists Senior Manager with vendor selections for signage and campaigns.
Manages vendor photo and signage installation.
Manages and designs layout for all DC Water publications, newsletters, brochures, presentations, and reports. Designs and plans layout for “What on Tap” customer service newsletter, Clean Rivers Project newsletter, annual report, or other graphic design requests from departments with clearance from the Senior Manager.
Creates and designs visual presentations for the CEO and COO.
Informs the public of DC Water’s programs, policies, and services.
Provides photography of internal or external employee events, as required.
Writes and edits, as required, for all printed materials.
Represents the Senior Manager at meetings, as required.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the Senior Manager, Marketing and Promotions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
| Required Experience: |
Five (5) years of experience in desktop publishing, graphic design, and project management; or a high school diploma or equivalency and nine (9) years of experience in desktop publishing, graphic design, and project management. |
| Minimum Education Requirements: |
| Bachelor's degree in Advertising / Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university. |
| Required Skills: |
| Demonstrated skills in making oral, visual, and written presentations. |
| Demonstrated skills in desktop publishing and computer software programs that support public relations/communications programs. |
| Utilizes layout and desktop publishing skills, digital graphic files, photography, publication design, print environment, and various Windows applications, including PowerPoint, PageMaker, InDesign and Photoshop. |
| Organizational skills, creativity, initiative and ability to meet deadlines. |
