Summary

A sports-fan illustrator/designer creating licensed artwork (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WWE) for Displate's metal posters — fast-turnaround championship 'moment' pieces, evergreen retail lines, and collectibles. Based in Orlando, using Adobe Creative Suite and Procreate/Clip Studio Paint.

Displate is one of the fastest growing art platforms in the world. We create high quality metal posters designed by artists and brands and ship them to customers globally.

What started as a product company has evolved into a global marketplace where art, design, pop culture, and fandom meet. Millions of customers use Displate to decorate their spaces with artwork they love.

Our ambition now is simple. Build the most efficient and scalable way to create and deliver metal art globally. That means better use of data. Faster execution. AI embedded across the business. And a culture where ideas turn into action quickly.

Displate is looking for a Sports Product Designer - sports fan who can draw. Someone who feels the energy of a championship moment and knows exactly how to put it on metal.

Based in Orlando and reporting to the Senior Creative Lead, you'll be the creative engine behind Displate's licensed sports portfolio - NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WWE, and more. Fast-turnaround moments content when the buzzer sounds. Evergreen product lines for retail. Collectibles that fans actually want to own.

This is a founding role on a small, high-output team. Real ownership. Real product. Real leagues.

What You Bring

  • 2–4+ years as a professional illustrator, graphic designer, or product artist with sports-themed work in your portfolio

  • Experience designing for physical consumer products — prints, posters, trading cards, collectibles, apparel, or packaging

  • Strong illustration and composition skills; your work is dynamic, not decorative

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and digital illustration tools (Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or equivalent)

  • Solid grasp of color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy applied to product surfaces

  • Ability to produce high-quality work fast — you don't sacrifice quality under deadline pressure

  • Knowledge of print production and color management for physical output (or a genuine eagerness to learn)

  • Familiarity with licensed sports imagery guidelines and approval processes is a plus, not a requirement

  • Deep knowledge of at least one major US sport, broad awareness across leagues

  • You understand fan culture and collector behavior — you know what makes a piece of sports art iconic

What You'll Do

  • Create original illustrations and designs for Displate's sports metal poster, limited edition, and collectibles lines

  • Produce fast-turnaround "moments on metal" artwork tied to championships, milestones, and cultural moments — often within hours of the final whistle

  • Design evergreen sports product lines for retail and e-commerce

  • Develop artwork across formats: standard posters, limited editions, and collectible metal prints

  • Prepare and manage licensor submissions and revisions through approval processes

  • Partner with the Sports Category Manager to stay ahead of the licensing calendar and league schedule

  • Collaborate with Displate's Poland-based design studio on brand standards and shared assets

  • Support Marketing with social and campaign creative for sports launches

Important:

  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with live sports schedules (e.g., artwork delivered Sunday morning following a Saturday night game)
