Spray Painter - DFL Fitout
The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing,
finishing, and spraying doors, frames, furniture and joinery to a high-quality standard using
paints, lacquers, stains, and other finishes. The role requires attention to
detail, technical skill in spray application, and the ability to work
efficiently within tight production deadlines.
- Prepare timber surfaces for spraying (sanding, filling, masking, priming).
- Apply
spray coatings (lacquers, primer, stains)
using spray guns or other equipment.
- Ensure
smooth, even coverage without drips, runs, or blemishes.
- Maintain
spray equipment, clean tools, and ensure work area is kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
- Inspect
finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to customer
specifications.
- Work
closely with the production team to meet project timelines.
- Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Strong
knowledge of spray painting techniques for wood and furniture.
- Ability
to prepare and finish surfaces to a very high standard.
- Familiarity
with different coatings, stains, and finishing products and techniques.
- Good
eye for detail, colour matching, and surface quality.
- Ability
to read and follow production orders, drawings, and instructions.
- Good time
management and efficiency in a busy production environment.
- Commitment
to safety and proper use of PPE.
