NewSr. Design Automation Engineer (RF/EM Automation & Methodology)Description
We are looking for an RF/EM Automation & Methodology Engineer to develop next-generation automation solutions for RF verification, electromagnetic analysis, and high-frequency design signoff.
This role combines RF engineering expertise with software and workflow development, enabling scalable and efficient EM simulation methodologies across advanced wireless, connectivity, and RFIC products.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated RF and EM verification flows using industry-leading EDA platforms.
- Build methodology solutions around Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR/MWO, Cadence EMX, Nexus and RF simulation environments
- Perform die-level EM analysis—parasitic extraction, EM simulation, and correlation with measured data where available
- Build and apply thermal models, run static and dynamic thermal analysis and support thermal signoff criteria
- Automate RF extraction, simulation, post-processing, and result correlation workflows.
- Develop tools for, S-parameter analysis, RF performance validation, Passive modeling, EM signoff
- Create dashboards, regression frameworks, and reusable automation infrastructure.
- Collaborate with RF designers, foundries, and PDK teams.
- Support customer deployments and methodology adoption.
- Provide world-class user support and establish a gold-standard of driving customer success
Required Experience and Skills
- M.Tech/M.E./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in RF methodology, RF CAD, EM analysis, or EDA applications engineering.
- Hands-on experience with ADS, AWR/MWO, EMX or equivalent EM tools
- Strong understanding of Electromagnetic fundamentals, S-parameters, RF layout effects and RF modeling
- Strong programming skills in Python plus SKILL, Tcl, or Perl.
- Experience developing automation frameworks and engineering workflows.
- Strong experience working with design data management and revision control systems like Perforce, DesignSync, Git etc.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Experience in GaAs, SiGe HBT, RF CMOS, or RF front-end technologies.
- Knowledge of BAW/SAW filters.
