Summary
Develop and maintain semiconductor Process Design Kits (PDKs) by creating DFM rule decks, density/fill solutions, and automation scripts to improve manufacturability and yield for GlobalFoundries' 350nm–12nm technologies.

Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage, and automotive applications.
Introduction:
As a Design Enablement Engineer, you will be a member of the Design Enablement Team responsible for developing design components for Process Design Kits (PDK).
Job Role:
Develop and maintain DFM rule decks focused on manufacturability, yield enhancement, and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with Process Integration, Technology Development, Physical Verification, and Design Services teams to define and deploy new DFM methodologies.
Develop, validate, and release density and fill solutions for new and existing PDKs.
Support multiple PDK releases and ensure timely delivery aligned with technology schedules.
Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive DFM and Fill QA methodologies, test plans, and validation suites to ensure accuracy, robustness, and quality of DFM and Fill deliverables.
Collaborate with EDA tool vendors to support DFM and Fill verification, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvements.
Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues related to DFM and Fill PDK components, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Develop scripts and automation infrastructure to improve productivity and reduce development cycle time.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for PDK release quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
Fundamental knowledge in the semiconductor field.
Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash...) is considered an advantage.
Knowledge in ML or GenAI is a great advantage
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment.
BS + 2-4 years of experience or
MS + 1-3 year
PhD + 0-1 year
