Sr. HR Generalist

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for executing core Human Resources and Employee Relations processes that support the organization's workforce and business operations. This role performs a broad range of responsibilities including payroll administration, employee relations, labor relations support, compliance, benefits administration, onboarding, workforce administration, and policy implementation.
Working closely with managers, employees, and cross-functional partners, the Human Resources Generalist helps ensure consistent application of company policies, regulatory compliance, positive employee experiences, and effective workforce support. The role serves as a key resource for employee-related matters while maintaining accurate HR records, supporting workforce programs, and contributing to a productive and compliant work environment. This is an on-site production plant HR position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS: Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Administer payroll processes and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of employee compensation, timekeeping, and related records.
- Maintain employee records, HRIS data, personnel files, and workforce information in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate onboarding activities including new hire documentation, orientation, system setup, employee records creation, and benefits enrollment.
- Support benefits administration activities including enrollments, status changes, employee inquiries, and vendor coordination.
- Assist with talent acquisition activities including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding coordination, and employment documentation.
- Support the administration of HR programs, policies, procedures, and employee communications.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies and internal controls.
- Prepare routine HR reports, payroll reports, workforce data, and compliance documentation as required.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, HR policies, and employment-related matters.
- Support employee lifecycle activities including hiring, onboarding, transfers, status changes, and separations.
