Sr. Principal Engineer, Firmware, Transmission

• B.S degree or above in electronics engineering, telecommunication or relevant.

• 5+ years of experience in control systems development with microcontrollers writing firmware for embedded applications. Experience on optic communication industry is preferred.
• Expert on C and C++ programming in embedded system, and experience on assembly programming language as well.
• Good understanding and experience in Object Oriented design
• Familiar with communication bus SPI, UART, I2C etc.
• Secure boot development experience is plus
• Familiar with optical communication knowledge is preferred
• Experience in lab bench debugging tools oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
• Should be able to work and deliver on aggressive schedule
• Self-starter, highly motivated, dedicated and teamwork oriented

• Good written and oral communication skills in English

• Programming languages: C++, Assembly
• Knowledge and experience on NIOS, ARM and GNU tool chains
• The ability to work independently with less guidance from supervisor
• Creative, analytical and structured problem solving capabilities
• Knowledge on optical components driver and calibration

• Knowledge on CMIS interface development is plus

1) Work on New Product Initiatives

1. Design and develop firmware features with less guidance from supervisor. Do unit test for developed code to guarantee robustness. Continuous improve your design for better code structure, executing efficiency and product performance.
2. Ensure firmware documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

3. Work with optics/software/hardware teams to continuous improves firmware performance, efficiencies, and process capability.

2) Sustaining/Operations Support

1. Maintain and support firmware development on existing system

2. Customer and production line support

1. Contribute to improve work efficiency
2. Actively take part in developing new technology and new platform
3. Team cooperation with other functional teams
