Sr QA Automation Engineer

Our Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain.

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to build and improve automated testing across our Stores and Services applications. The role covers front-end user experiences as well as APIs, backend services, and data validation. You’ll help strengthen our automation frameworks and CI/CD execution so teams can deliver reliable releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for front-end UI, APIs, and backend workflows across Stores and Services applications.
• Test Salesforce and .NET-based applications across end-to-end user workflows, UI behavior, API and service integrations, and data.
• Build reusable Playwright automation and supporting test utilities, and maintain Postman collections.
• Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions and help keep test runs reliable and useful to the team.
• Use SQL Server to validate application data and investigate test results.
• Maintain test case traceability and execution results in qTest.
• Work with product, development, and QA partners to understand requirements, identify risks, and plan test coverage.
• Investigate failures, distinguish application defects from test, data, or environment issues, and communicate findings clearly.
• Review automation code and identify practical improvements to coverage, maintainability, execution reliability, and reuse across applications.
• Support production deployment and release calls as needed, including occasional late-night or weekend support.

Required qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in QA or software testing, including substantial hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining test automation.
• Hands-on testing experience with Salesforce and .NET-based applications, including front-end UI testing and backend/API validation.
• Strong experience with Playwright and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, GitHub Actions, SQL Server, and qTest.
• Solid understanding of UI and API testing, SQL-based data validation, Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot failures, explain technical findings, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to take ownership of automation work and support production deployment calls as needed, including outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted test design or automation, such as AI-generated test cases or automation code, agent-based workflows, or MCP.
• Experience evaluating or improving the quality, traceability, reliability, and maintainability of AI-generated tests or code.
• Android application automation experience, especially with Appium or physical Zebra devices.

AI-assisted testing experience is a plus, not a requirement. We’re looking for a strong automation engineer who can work across both UI and backend testing and help improve quality across our Stores and Services applications.
