NewBe an early applicant

Summary

Senior .NET engineer on DriveCentric's DMS integrations team, building and owning end-to-end services that sync the dealership CRM with a dozen-plus third-party dealer management systems, processing hundreds of thousands of daily transactions. Core stack: C#/.NET microservices, Kafka, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, OpenTelemetry/Grafana, and AWS with infrastructure as code.

Are you tired of not being challenged, not having a voice, or having to work with outdated technologies? Do you want to be a direct contributor in a company that is an innovation leader and has the awards to prove it?

DriveCentric is the premier customer relationship management (CRM) and AI marketing company that connects automotive dealerships to customers in innovative, award-winning ways.

Integrations form the backbone of our DriveCentric CRM platform. The DMS Team ensures our software can communicate with a wide range of third-party applications, platforms, and APIs in a resilient, scalable, and testable fashion. We currently maintain live integrations with multiple DMS platforms each with its own transport, authentication model, and quirks. If you like problems where no two vendors behave the same way, you'll like it here.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect and build integration services that process hundreds of thousands of daily transactions across a dozen-plus DMS platforms.
  • Own an integration end to end: vendor API client, event contracts, data mapping, mock endpoints, test plan, staged rollout, production monitoring, vendor certifications, and compliance.
  • Solve real distributed-systems problems: data consistency across systems of record, error recovery, deduplication, and bidirectional synchronization.
  • Develop code primarily with AI tooling using spec-driven development.
  • Keep architecture diagrams and integration documentation accurate.
  • Participate in story refinement, release planning, and code review. Deploy your own validated code to production.
  • Design and implement Kafka producers, consumers, and sagas across roughly twenty .NET microservices.
  • Provision your own infrastructure through infrastructure as code
  • Debug complex failures: saga faults, poison messages, consumer group rebalancing, message size limits.
  • Build and maintain OpenTelemetry instrumentation, Grafana dashboards, and per-store health metrics.
  • Add structured, queryable logging that lets us answer "what happened at this dealership at this time" in minutes rather than hours.
  • Research escalations from support teams, dealership data problems, and bugs.
  • Perform root cause analysis and address identified issues.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of C# .NET development experience.
  • 3+ years of development experience with third-party APIs.
  • 3+ years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with microservice and event-driven architecture. You've built and debugged systems where components communicate asynchronously.
  • Working knowledge of data transfer protocols (HTTP, SFTP, SOAP, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of data exchange formats (JSON, XML, CSV) and serialization/deserialization.
  • Working knowledge of parallel and asynchronous programming techniques.
  • A proven history of developing scalable, testable applications.
  • Comfort owning production issues, including diagnosing problems in live customer data.
  • Ability to balance business and technical objectives when making decisions.
  • Ability to work on tasks independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Alignment with our Engineering Core Values:
  • Relentless Improvement — "be better today than yesterday"
  • Customer Obsession — "we succeed when our customers succeed"
  • Selfless Collaboration — "team before self"
  • Dependable Teammate — "pull my weight"

Pluses:
  • Experience with automotive DMS platforms or automotive retail operations.
  • Experience with Kafka.
  • Experience with MassTransit.
  • Experience with production instrumentation: metrics, logging, and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elastic).
  • Experience with AWS (EKS, SQS, S3, Transfer Family, Route 53) and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience working alongside AI coding agents on production codebases.
  • Experience with Angular, TypeScript, or modern front-end frameworks to facilitate full-stack collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of bidirectional integrations.
