Staff AI Platform Engineer

You will design and implement distributed systems that support AI agents at scale, with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost efficiency. You will establish testing, observability, and CI/CD practices; own the AI platform technical roadmap; mentor engineers; and work with ML engineers and researchers to productionize AI capabilities while maintaining system stability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed systems that support AI agents at scale
• Establish testing strategies, observability systems, and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor engineers on building reliable production systems
• Own the technical roadmap and architectural decisions for the AI platform
• Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to productionize AI capabilities

Requirements

• 7+ years building and operating distributed systems in production
• Track record of improving system reliability to 99.9%+ uptime
• Expertise in microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong coding skills across the stack
• Experience debugging production issues and implementing observability
• Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs
