Role Overview
The Analytics team at Coupang Play operates at the intersection of Business, Product, Content, Marketing, and Technology to drive user engagement and monetization. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will partner closely with Business, Content, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to develop self-serve data solutions and analyses that solve complex business challenges, improve decision quality and drive action.
The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and able to combine the strategic rigor of a Management Consultant with the technical skills of a seasoned Data Analyst. You should be comfortable collaborating with senior leaders, navigating ambiguity, and translating business problems into data-led solutions and narratives that drive strategic decisions and accelerate business growth.
What You Will Do
-
Own the solution. Work through ambiguity to diagnose the decision to be made, metric drift, or logging error - then create defined requirements and drive the cross-functional effort to deliver the right Analytics solution end-to-end.
-
Quantify our GTM engine. Develop a deep understanding of our business and how different teams define success - then make sure our data models, metric definitions, reporting and dashboards measure the right metrics to keep teams on track.
-
Own metric definitions. Be fluent in the language of your stakeholders - you know that 'user' means something different to Product than to Finance, and can reconcile the difference by thinking systematically instead of leaving the decision to someone else
-
Own the fix. You don't default to only the technical reason when errors occur - you go deeper to investigate if the real problem is the system capturing wrong data, a sub-optimal process, or a data model that no longer matches business needs - and then drive the long-term solution that addresses the deepest failure modes and current stakeholder needs
-
Flex your communication style as needed. You are equally fluent giving executives the narrative and top-line takeaways, and deep diving into data with product and operational teams
-
Scale AI tooling. You can strategically leverage AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities, improve efficiency and drive innovation, both for yourself and across the Analytics team.
-
Mentor senior analysts, establish data analytics best practices, and set high engineering and analytical standards for the broader team.

-
7+ years of experience developing dashboards and data visualizations for both executives and operational teams.
