Our Staff Platform Engineer Designs, implement, maintain, and continuously improves the organization's platforms and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, security, scalability, and operational efficiency
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable platform infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms and containerized workloads while ensuring high availability, performance, and operational resilience.
- Deploy, administer, and optimize IBM Cloud Pak Stacks, Confluent, Elasticsearch, and related platform technologies.
- Ensure effective monitoring, incident response,, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively identify and resolve platform issues.
- Strengthening platform security through access management, vulnerability remediation, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps adoption, automation initiatives, and continuous platform improvements.
- Maintain technical standards, operational documentation, deployment guides, and support audits and operational reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience with Linux/Windows administration, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, networking, production support, and service reliability practices.
- Exposure to IBM Cloud Pak Stacks, Confluent, and Elasticsearch is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of incident management, troubleshooting, security best practices, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to lead technical initiatives.
