Staff Product Designer

GlossGenius is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead and own design in our Core product area, focused on empowering beauty and wellness businesses to operate and grow with seamless, reliable tools. You will own the strategy and execution of key product experiences together with Product and Engineering counterparts—from scheduling needs and client and team management to payment processing. As AI reshapes how products are built and experienced, you’ll play a central role in defining how intelligent features show up for our customers, thoughtfully, usefully, and in a way that feels native to the GlossGenius experience.

Responsibilities will include:

• Own the entire design process, from strategy to execution, of your product area
• Work on the user experience across Core product features within the GlossGenius app
• Own the end-to-end process for solving UX/UI design problems: ideate, conceptualize, test, and refine
• Construct user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
• Identify and design AI-powered product experiences that meaningfully reduce friction for small business owners
• Lead user interviews to better understand customer needs to help inform the product design strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product managers, software and QA engineers, customer success managers, and marketers to design intuitive and engaging user experiences for GlossGenius’ customers
• Deliver products that are recognized as the best in the industry by understanding GlossGenius’s strategic and competitive position
• Take initiative in thinking of new ways users can interact with GlossGenius

You’re a great fit if you:

• Have 7+ years of experience in a Product Design/UX/UI or related role; prior experience designing booking platforms, scheduling tools, team management, or financial/payment products is a strong plus
• Demonstrate experience with sketching, wireframes, visual design, and prototyping for product experiences
• Have experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g. Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, InVision)
• Have proven experience leveraging AI tools to shape design strategy and deliver impactful AI-driven experiences
• Are passionate about empowering small business owners to be successful, possess a high level of empathy for customers, and have a strong desire to deeply understand their needs
• Have experience navigating ambiguous high-growth, fast-paced product-driven environments

Total Compensation

The starting base salary for this role in New York is between $215,000-$258,000 plus target equity and benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This role operates in a hybrid environment with in-office attendance 3-4 days per week.
