About Laurel
Laurel is on a mission to return time. As the first company to apply AI to time in professional services, we're transforming how organizations capture, analyze, and optimize their most valuable resource.
Our platform automates work time capture, connects time data to outcomes, and powers decision-making across legal, accounting, and consulting. We serve many of the world's largest firms — including EY, Grant Thornton, and Latham & Watkins — processing over 1 billion work activities annually that have never before been collected or structured.
Our roadmap builds in three stages:
Time Automation (automated timesheets) → Time to Cash (billing lifecycle automation) → Time & Organization Intelligence
Signal is the interface through which we expose how time is spent across firms, and help leaders direct their organizations toward higher leverage.
About Signal
Signal is Laurel's Organizational Intelligence Platform. If Time to Cash is about "time worked to time paid," Signal is about turning time data into actionable intelligence — transforming digital work data into insights that uncover hidden write-offs, measure velocity, detect tool usage patterns, and surface the organizational behaviors that impact profitability.
Signal is not a BI tool bolted onto timesheets. It's a category-defining product that changes how firms understand and direct time. By surfacing where work creates value — and where it doesn't — Signal gives leaders the ability to rewire incentives from selling time to selling outcomes.
Signal is live. This role is critical to scaling it: shaping how time data is visualized, how insights become workflows, and how we help firms make decisions that create leverage instead of efficiency.
About the Role
As Product Manager for Signal, you'll lead the development of Laurel's intelligence layer, partnering closely with Design, Data Science, Engineering, and GTM to scale the product across industries.
This is a highly strategic role. Signal sits at the center of Laurel's long-term mission to expose time and tie it to outcomes.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
Enterprise adoption — Signal is deployed and actively used at 5+ enterprise accounts, with measurable adoption and a clear ROI narrative.
Shipped impact — You've launched at least 2 major insight modules with validated customer outcomes.
Repeatable discovery — You've established a discovery process with firm leaders across legal, accounting, and consulting.
A story GTM can sell — GTM has a clear, data-anchored Signal positioning story you helped shape.
What You'll Do
Own the strategy. Define and execute the product strategy for Signal across legal, accounting, and consulting verticals.
Turn data into insight. Translate raw time data into findings that matter to firm leaders: write-off detection, velocity analysis, and outcome measurement.
Partner with Data Science on analysis, model development, and AI evaluation frameworks.
Partner with Design to build intuitive, decision-grade dashboards — making Laurel's insights feel like a coach, not a panel of charts.
Talk to customers. Drive research with firm leaders, admins, and practitioners so insights stay actionable and tied to real workflows.
Partner with GTM to position Signal as the intelligence layer.
Prioritize the roadmap. Drive Signal from launch to enterprise standard, balancing near-term customer wins against long-term platform vision.
You'll Be a Great Fit If You…
Have 7+ years in product management, including 3+ years building data or analytics products
Love the challenge of designing for complex systems and messy datasets
Are skilled at shaping ambiguous, 0→1 product areas and bringing them to market
Have a strong grasp of AI/ML-powered product development, particularly around insight generation
Believe in leverage over efficiency — building products that multiply organizational impact rather than incrementally optimize
Thrive in fast-paced startup environments where ambiguity, iteration, and speed are the norm
Are comfortable working directly with enterprise clients, including C-suite and COO/CFO-level stakeholders, and can translate their needs into product decisions
Have experience with enterprise or sales-led GTM motions, where product and sales move together
