Our Daily Bread Ministries is seeking a Stitch Machine Operator – Level 2 to run and support stitch and ancillary equipment in our Print Finishing department. This role keeps production moving safely and efficiently, meeting the quality, productivity, and KPI standards behind the printed resources we send around the world.
Through technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, you will help steward the ministry’s equipment and resources while growing through continuous training, process improvement initiatives, and opportunities to become a trainer.
What You’ll Do.
- Operate and assist other operators on all stitch and ancillary equipment, with a strong command of job specifications, material specs, machine parameters, and print services workflow.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs, keep machinery in good working order, and quickly troubleshoot machine malfunctions and material quality issues.
- Track time, productivity, maintenance issues, and quality for your workflow using production and scheduling systems.
- Support fulfillment and warehousing of finished goods and work-in-progress inventory, and prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
- Package orders and materials appropriately per customer requirements.
- Model safe operation, movement, and interaction with equipment and people, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
What You Bring.
Education & Experience:
- Mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with the ability to learn new technical processes and troubleshoot equipment effectively.
- Basic computer skills; on-the-job training provided for production and scheduling systems.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask and create solutions.
- Ability to work on your feet full-time with repetitive motion and frequent bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting; must be able to lift 35+ pounds and work safely around machinery and equipment.
