Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Storage QA Lead with strong expertise in enterprise storage technologies, virtualization, and Python automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in storage testing, designing automation frameworks, leading QA activities, and ensuring the quality of enterprise storage solutions in virtualized environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Storage QA activities, including test planning, test strategy, execution, automation, and defect management.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing of enterprise storage solutions.
• Validate storage functionality across virtualized environments using VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and KVM.
• Test storage provisioning, snapshots, replication, backup, recovery, failover, and high-availability features.
• Work with storage protocols such as SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and Fibre Channel.
• Provide technical guidance to QA engineers, review automation scripts, and ensure test coverage.
• Troubleshoot complex storage, virtualization, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and product teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Own QA deliverables, track testing progress, and communicate risks and status to stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

• 8–11 years of experience in Storage QA, Storage Testing, or Storage Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, or KVM.
• Strong Python programming and automation framework development experience.
• Good understanding of enterprise storage architecture, SAN/NAS, and storage protocols.
• Experience in testing storage solutions in virtualized environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, Shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Python automation frameworks such as Pytest or similar tools.
• Good understanding of storage performance, scalability, reliability, and high availability.
• Experience leading QA activities, mentoring engineers, and reviewing test automation deliverables.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with VMware vSAN, VMware VVols, or software-defined storage.
• Exposure to cloud storage platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized storage environments.
• Experience with Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, or similar enterprise storage platforms.
