Storeroom Clerk (Cat 4)
Essential Job Duties
- To provide all departments with necessary supplies and parts.
- Stock and maintain accurate stockroom inventory. Utilize applicable computerized system to manage inventories and order supplies. Be the point of contact for all supplies requests and stocking.
- Receives incoming supplies. Use Company procedures to deal with any short supplies/breakages, etc…
- Count stock items and record information manually or using a computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing against physical count of stock and investigate discrepancies, report results to Receiving Supervisor.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment as directed.
- Clean and maintain storage areas in compliance with safety regulations.
- Wear assigned protective equipment as required.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facility.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures and goods used or issued.
- Maintain accurate records of damaged stock items. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return the damaged or defective items to the vendor.
- Provide assistance or direction to other Team Members.
- Recommend disposal of excess, defective or obsolete stock
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Minimum 3 years experience in Storeroom procedures / inventory.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to train others, be a results-oriented team player and professionally represent a quality operations department. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of weight.
- Present a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with outside vendors and internal customers. Excellent organizational skills and knowledgeable of computer systems as well as purchasing and inventory programs.
- Must be able to work all shifts and weekends/holidays as required.
- Must be able to communicate spoken and written English.
