Strategic Business Development Manager (Professional Services)
Position Overview
We are looking for a commercially driven and relationship focused Strategic Business Development Manager to join our Professional Services team in EMEA.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with Microsoft partners across Europe. You will work closely with partners to understand their business challenges, identify opportunities where Ciellos' Professional Services can add value and translate these into successful commercial engagements.
This is a quota carrying role with a strong focus on consultative selling, business development and long-term partner growth.
The position reports to the Director, Sales EMEA of Professional Services and can be based anywhere in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Business Development
• Develop new business opportunities across the EMEA Microsoft partner ecosystem
• Identify and approach potential partners and commercial opportunities
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of Professional Services opportunities
• Identify upsell, cross sell and expansion opportunities within existing partner relationships
• Develop account and partner growth plans aligned with business objectives
• Translate partner challenges into relevant Professional Services solutions
• Contribute directly to revenue targets across the EMEA region
• Work closely with marketing, delivery and technical teams to develop opportunities
Partner Relationship Management
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Microsoft Dynamics partners across Europe
• Understand partners' business models, strategic priorities and delivery challenges
• Position Ciellos as a long-term Professional Services partner
• Develop relationships with key commercial and operational stakeholders
• Conduct regular partner meetings and strategic business reviews
• Identify future opportunities based on partner growth plans and market developments
Commercial & Contract Management
• Lead commercial discussions including pricing, proposals and negotiations
• Create and manage proposals for new and existing opportunities
• Manage Statements of Work and commercial agreements
• Drive opportunities from initial conversation through negotiation and closing
• Collaborate with delivery teams on scope, estimates, resourcing and timelines
CRM & Pipeline Management
• Maintain accurate and up to date CRM records
• Manage pipeline, opportunities and forecasting activities
• Track partner engagement and business development activities
• Provide visibility on expected revenue, opportunities and commercial risks
• Contribute to forecasting, leadership updates and strategic planning
Delivery Alignment
• Work closely with Professional Services delivery teams throughout the sales process
• Ensure commercial commitments are aligned with delivery capabilities
• Maintain awareness of project progress and potential follow up opportunities
• Support strong alignment between partner expectations and service delivery
What is needed to succeed in the role?
Requirements
• 4-5+ years selling Microsoft Dynamics or similar solutions
• Demonstrated selling experience carrying a revenue quota and achieving commercial targets
• Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to uncover business needs and translate them into commercial opportunities
• Professional fluency in English
• Based in Europe and authorized to work in your country of residence *
Preferred Qualifications / Nice to have
• Experience within the Microsoft partner ecosystem
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly Business Central and/or Finance & Supply Chain Management
• Existing relationships within the Microsoft Dynamics partner ecosystem
• Knowledge of Microsoft partner programs and the broader Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem
* This is an EMEA position and is open to candidates based anywhere in Europe. The role can be performed remotely, with travel across Europe depending on partner and business needs.
