Strategic Relationship Manager

The Strategic Relationship Manager is responsible for managing ARM's most strategic and high-value customer relationships. This role focuses on customer retention, portfolio performance, annual renewals, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while serving as the primary relationship manager for the Company's largest accounts. The Strategic Relationship Manager partners closely with internal teams to develop long-term customer strategies and strengthen key business relationships.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 20–30 strategic customer relationships.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for existing customers with aggregate balances exceeding $3 million and/or long-standing relationships with the Company.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of each customer's business operations, financial performance, and long-term goals.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships through regular communication and proactive customer engagement.
• Drive customer retention by delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities to strengthen existing relationships.
• Lead annual renewal activities, including pricing discussions, term negotiations, documentation coordination, and customer communications.
• Partner closely with Credit, Operations, Legal, and other internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Coordinate timely collection of financial statements, reporting requirements, and other customer documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance, customer utilization, and potential risk indicators, escalating concerns when appropriate.
• Proactively identify and resolve customer issues while serving as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned accounts.
• Support customer adoption and utilization of the ARM customer portal and related technology solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer records, activity updates, forecasts, and opportunity tracking within HubSpot CRM.
• Provide portfolio insights, customer retention metrics, and strategic account updates to leadership.
• Participate in Regional Meetings and provide accurate portfolio forecasts and account updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in relationship management, commercial lending, agricultural finance, account management, banking, or a related customer-facing role.
• Experience managing high-value customer relationships preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, commercial lending, and customer relationship management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build long-term relationships with executive-level customers and business owners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
• Experience using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze customer information and identify business opportunities and potential risks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound business judgment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer relationships.
