Job Description & Requirements
- Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis and design for steel members, connections, and framing systems.
- Documentation: Create detailed design drawings, calculation reports, and specifications.
- Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordination: Liaise with architects, contractors, fabricators, and other consultants.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD etc.) for modeling and drafting.
- Project Lifecycle: Involved in conceptual design, detailed engineering, fabrication review, and site support.
- Site Visits: Conduct site inspections to verify quality and adherence to design intent.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in civil or related engineering trades.
- Strong understanding of steel properties, structural mechanics, and physics.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD programs.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
