Student Assistant - Marketing
ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY
Parking and Transportation Services, a division the University of South Florida’s Auxiliary Enterprises is responsible for the overall management of the Bull Runner Transit System and parking facilities and services. We are committed to providing guidance and assistance to the USF community and our guests with all their parking and transportation needs in a professional and courteous manner.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, working alongside a UCM representative, this position will review and make recommendations for content and layout of Parking and Transportation Services’ website, design and update marketing materials.
Average Number of Hours per Week: 20 hours
Work Schedule: Flexible during business hours: Mon – Fri | 8am - 5pm
Hourly Wage: $15.30 / Hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and manage the PATS social media accounts as a tool for customer communication and public relations.
- Craft and post messages and monitor content as appropriate to disseminate information, market and promote services, and enhance customer relations and the Division’s public image. Ensuring compliance with all University and Division requirements and policies related to social media presence.
- Assist in representing the Division at campus and community tabling events.
- Assist with the development of presentations.
- Maintain, update and optimize the Division’s website.
- Draft, update, produce, and maintain adequate inventory of promotional materials.
- Frequent interaction with PATS Leadership team.
Minimum:
A high school diploma and appropriate college coursework and design and marketing experience.
Understanding of basic public relations principles and marketing techniques.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Must be a current USF student.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and CapCut.
Knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
Be willing to share goals and interests to tailor the experience to meet both your needs and those of the Division.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to engage others in conversation.
