Intern – Engine Simulation Engineer

Position Summary
- Support engine system performance simulation and analysis, with a focus on combustion, emissions, and system integration performance evaluation
- Assist in model development, data analysis, and result validation
- Provide simulation support for low-carbon fuel and advanced powertrain development

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain engine system simulation models (0D/1D or related tools)
- Perform engine performance simulations, including combustion, emissions, and thermal management analysis
- Analyze and visualize simulation results to support engineering decisions
- Collaborate with test teams to validate and calibrate simulation models
- Support simulation studies on new technologies (e.g., low-carbon fuels)
- Assist in preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations

Qualifications
- Education
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree candidate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Energy & Power Engineering, or a related field
· Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines and/or combustion processes is preferred
- Technical Skills
· Understanding of engine working principles and basic thermodynamics
· Experience with at least one simulation tool (e.g., GT‑Power, AVL Cruise, MATLAB/Simulink) is preferred
· Basic data analysis skills (Excel / Python / MATLAB)
· Knowledge of emissions regulations or low-carbon fuel technologies is a plus

· Responsible, detail-oriented, and a good team player
· Ability to read and understand technical documents in English

Working Conditions
- Location: Wuhan, China
- Duration: 6 months (full-time internship preferred)
- Availability: ≥3–4 days per week

Preferred Qualifications
- Project or coursework experience in engine simulation
- Familiarity with SI engine combustion and emission control strategies
- Programming or automation experience (Python / MATLAB)
