We are seeking a Master's Level Student Intern to join our Child and Family North (CFN) team, where you will gain hands-on experience providing trauma-informed mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in the Aurora community. This internship offers a dynamic learning environment with opportunities to provide individual, family, and group therapy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of passionate and experienced clinicians representing a variety of backgrounds, specialties, and professional disciplines. In addition to direct clinical experience, interns participate in team meetings, case consultation, and professional development opportunities designed to support growth and skill development. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families, committed to serving diverse populations with compassion and cultural humility, and eager to learn through feedback, collaboration, and mentorship. Schedule: Ideally available to work onsite/in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some flexibility in scheduling. Candidates should be available for a minimum internship commitment from August 2026 through May 2027, with the opportunity to extend beyond that timeframe.

About you.

  • Master's Level Student working towards a degree Counseling, Psychology or Social Work. Preferred completion of practicum clinical experience.

Salary for this role. The starting wage is based on AMHR's pay equity program. Paid Bi-weekly.

  • $19.29 per hour.
