<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Job Summary</span></b><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">To provide shore support to vessels by handling their day to day technical & operational issues in accordance with the company guidelines, class requirements and international regulations.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal">This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance, Purchase & Supply of (spares and Stores) and repair, budget adherence, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections etc. Escalate any “noteworthy” deviations to management for further action.</p><p class="MsoNormal">An efficient and safe technical management of the vessels ensures minimal incidents, down time and while meeting all stake holders requirements such as owners, charterers and other third parties</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> <b>Qualifications</b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">MEO Class I – COC</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Should have sailed as a Chief Engineer.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> <b>Experience Required: 0-4 </b></span><b>years.</b></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Vessel Type: Bulk Carrier</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Skills Required</span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Good knowledge in Microsoft Office</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> <b>Roles & Responsibilities</b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> </span></b>The technical superintendent is accountable for the following:</p><ul style="margin-top:0cm;" type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Ensuring that machineries on board are well maintained by crew and PMS schedules are duly followed</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Ensuring vessels all certification are always up to date</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Monitor and manage operating costs within planned budget</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Attend the vessels during Surveys as required.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Vessel performance analysis basis data uploaded and shared by vessel on regular basis</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Maintaining vessel incident free.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Timely essential supplies of Stores/spares/services to vessel</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Min or nil observations from third parties inspections.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Meet the stipulated budget without compromising safe operation.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Primary contact to the ships and the shipowners to provide technical assistance and advice</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Supervise all technical management activities for assigned vessels</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Coordinate with the surveys and certifications team to ensure class and certifications regulatory requirements are complied with from to time.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Supervise contractors’ repair/maintenance of vessels</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Formulate long term maintenance plan and ensure that the maintenance planning, execution and control is carried out according to company standards. Ensure conformance to planned maintenance system</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Devise plans and monitor vessel dry docking, repairs and survey when required and determine repair specifications for dry docking and maintenance</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Provide and compile documented reports upon completion of dry docking, including summaries of works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Communicate and periodically report to vessels owners about vessel performance, maintenance, costing etc.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us"> Maintain regular communication with CE & master for smooth operation of the vessel</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Send detailed advice on fuel analysis reports and Lube oil analysis reports once received from the laboratories.</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Monitor vessel performance trends, implementing timely remedial actions where required</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Accident and incident investigations, risk analysis and mitigation, identifying, implementing and monitoring effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions</span></li> <li class="MsoNormal"><span lang="en-us" xml:lang="en-us">Initiating MOC, follow up and close the MOC for each critical tacks, vessel Modifications, New engineering installations after detailed risk assessment etc.</span></li> </ul><p> </p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
