Supervisor - Electrical

Summary

Oversee electrical installation work on construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance while managing teams and coordinating with other trades.

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day electrical installation activities at site, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Site Supervision

  • Supervise electrical installation works including LV/HV systems, lighting, power distribution, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
  • Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Guide and monitor site electricians, technicians, and helpers.
  • Report daily progress and issues to Senior Site Engineer / Project Engineer.

Technical Support

  • Review and understand electrical drawings, layouts, and technical instructions.
  • Assist in resolving on-site technical issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Ensure proper testing and commissioning of electrical systems under guidance.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with other MEP trades to avoid clashes and delays.
  • Maintain communication with the Senior Site Engineer regarding work progress, challenges, and resource needs.

Planning & Material Control

  • Ensure availability of materials and tools for daily electrical activities.
  • Monitor proper usage of materials and minimize wastage.
  • Assist in manpower allocation and task assignments.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce compliance with HSE policies and safe work practices at site.
  • Conduct safety briefings for site team under supervision of Senior Engineer.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily work reports, site diaries, and material usage logs.
  • Assist in preparation of inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and handover documents.
