As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST, you will serve as Chief, Mission Assurance Division, you will plan, analyze, develop and implement agency security policies, standards and procedures and represent the agency to boards, committees and working groups..

Determines the security risk posture of facilities during routine or emergent circumstances and deploys resources as necessary to mitigate risk.

Develops and implements agency wide security policies, and programs and procedures.

Serves as the agency representative and security subject matter expert on intra and interagency committees.

Interprets regulations and resolves issues arising in the development, implementation and administration of program policies and procedures.

Monitors and analyzes personnel financial and material needs to ensure maximum cost effectiveness in the programs operations.

Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas. Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
