Swim Instructor - McCordsville

Teaches swim lessons, evaluates student progress, and ensures safety protocols at a community health facility in Mccordsville, Indiana.
QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Strong Communication Skills: Supervisor is made aware of finding coverage for classes when substitute instructor is needed, or when lesson needs to be cancelled/rescheduled, checking HWC Email weekly, greeting members with exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluating student’s performance and progress
- Providing feedback to students, parents, and Aquatics Supervisor
- Track attendance in Club Automation
- Ensure that all teaching tools are in good working condition
- Implementing ground rules for each swim session
- Responds to all emergency situations per facility policy and procedures
- Maintains continuously all annual education requirements (CBL’s) and BLS/CPR certifications
- Maintains high level of professionalism, in accordance with organizational standards of behavior
- Is knowledgeable, aware of, and proficient in all facility rules, regulations, and policies, and enforces them when applicable
- Assumes other duties and projects as assigned
- Performs safe and effective swim lessons
EXPECTED BEHAVIORS:

MANDATORY LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation)
ADDITIONAL LICENSURE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prefer 1+ years of recent experience working in a like or similar role
- BLS (Basic Life Saving)/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Mandatory Continuing Education: Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
