System Analyst

About the role

Work in an application team to enhance and support data warehouse projects. Lead system enhancement projects, including requirement collection, testing, and deployment support. Provide daily application and system support, ensuring smooth operation of internal systems.

Key responsibilities

• Work in an application team to enhance and support date warehouse projects

• Supervise and monitor external service providers in system development projects and system supports;

• Lead system enhancement projects, including requirement collection, testing, and deployment support

• Provide daily application and system support, ensuring smooth operation of internal systems

• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for application systems

• Work with Business Analysts to provide solutions for business initiatives;

• Coordinate with Technical team in regular support tasks;

• Technical writing for system design and programming logics;

• Handle ad-hoc assignments due to requirements from cybersecurity and risk control;

• Assist in IT audits, security tests and compliance checks related to supported systems;

About you

• Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related discipline

• Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related discipline

• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, of which at least 3 year in a similar role

• Experience in RDBMS database such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Preferably with DB management experience

• Experience in micro-services architecture, containers, Git and Jenkins

• Experience in programing languages preferably Java, Python, PL/SQL, etc.

• Experience in data warehouse development like ETL programming is a huge advantage

• Strong logical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills and time cautious

• Leadership and supervisor experience

• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin (Mandarin speaking is a must.)

• Proficient in MS Office applications, Excel in particular

• Experience in financial industry especially custody and fund accounting is highly preferred.
