System Analyst (Cards & Payments)

Summary

Analyzes and designs card-payment systems, focusing on authorization, clearing, settlement, and integration with Visa/Mastercard and ISO 8583 message flows.

System Analyst - Cards & Payments

  • International banking project in the Cards & Payments domain, covering authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.

  • Analysis and development of systems supporting debit/credit cards, card lifecycle, limits, blocks, and transaction processing.

  • Integration with card processing platforms, core banking systems, and Visa / Mastercard.

  • Work with ISO 8583, APIs, and event-driven integrations.

  • End-to-end analysis of authorization → clearing → settlement flows in a high-availability, secure environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into functional/system requirements and technical solutions.

  • Analyse transaction flows, message mappings, and system integrations.

  • Design changes across authorization, card lifecycle, transaction processing, limits, fees, and reconciliation.

  • Create API specifications, sequence diagrams, data mappings, and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with developers, QA, architects, and Cards/Payments teams throughout delivery and testing.

  • Troubleshoot transaction issues through logs, message flows, processing errors, and data inconsistencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a System Analyst / IT Analyst in banking, fintech, or Cards & Payments.

  • Practical understanding of authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.

  • Knowledge of ISO 8583 and card-processing integration architecture.

  • Experience with APIs, message flows, data mappings, and system integrations.

  • Strong technical documentation and requirements analysis skills.

  • Good English for international engineering environments.
