System Analyst (Departmental Portal & AI Solutions)
Summary
System analyst supporting the revamp and ongoing maintenance of a Hong Kong government Departmental Portal: UI/UX, AI service integration (intelligent search, AI assistants/chatbots), Liferay-based development, configuration, testing, deployment, and server support across dev, test, and production environments, while liaising with business users, IT teams, and vendors.
Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for the revamp of the Departmental Portal, including UI/UX design, AI service integration, system development, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Provide ongoing maintenance and support for the underlying system software and servers of the Departmental Portal across development, testing, and production environments.
Liaise and collaborate with business users, IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and operation of the portal.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of experience in application development and support.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in the development, implementation, and support of web-based applications and systems (Internet and Intranet).
Solid experience in the Departmental Portal Programme, preferably using Departmental Portal Hosting Services (DPHS) and Liferay Portal.
Proven experience in developing and implementing AI-powered solutions, such as intelligent site search, AI assistants, or chatbot technologies.
Familiarity with Government standards, policies, and application development guidelines is highly preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
