System Analyst
Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per month
About the role
As a System Analyst, you will expand your role from writing code to owning system design, technical analysis, and workflow optimization. You will deeply understand the overall platform design, ensuring that new features maintain high system performance, data accuracy, and long-term scalability. This is a high-impact, collaborative role where you will partner with Business Analysts to meet clients face-to-face, present robust technical solutions to enterprise customers, and address architectural inquiries confidently, all while remaining hands-on with programming work.
Key responsibilities
Translate complex functional business rules and user journeys into comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDD), database schema maps, and logical system workflows.
Serve as the core escalation point for isolating, diagnosing, and fixing structural software issues, data race conditions, or complex production anomalies.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to engage directly with enterprise customers, confidently present technical solutions, explain structural logic, and address technical inquiries from customers' IT teams.
Personally write and maintain code, build backend APIs, develop user interface components, and optimize database layers to ensure peak system performance.
Champion and leverage modern AI-assisted development tools and workflows to accelerate engineering efficiency and simplify the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Travel occasionally to Mainland China to coordinate technical rollouts, align with regional branches, or meet local technical stakeholders.
About you
5+ years of software engineering experience, with a clear track record of shifting into system analysis, technical design, or logical workflow mapping.
Elite problem-solving skills with the ability to break down vague, multi-variable business workflows into highly predictable, bulletproof technical logic.
Proficient full-stack engineering mastery using Java (Spring / Spring Boot) on the server-side and React on the frontend.
Exceptional expertise in SQL database design, complex query optimization, and structured data modeling.
Highly articulate thinker capable of translating complex engineering constraints into plain, logical concepts for both client IT teams and business stakeholders.
Prior business domain knowledge in Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Supply Chain Logistics or ERP platforms.
System documentation capability in English.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to Mainland China for technical discovery and deployment alignment.
Professional fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
