System Architect

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented System Architect to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our comprehensive development projects in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of the new Sales System, ensuring a timely go-live

• Supervise a small team in the development of the project, establishing architecture, coding standards and reviewing key components

• Establish and maintain the baseline architecture and technical standards for all company systems

• Define standardized patterns for platform selection, database schemas, development languages, and open-source frameworks for all upcoming development

• Support the Project Manager in managing scope changes by assessing technical impacts and advising on schedule, cost, and quality implications

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure delivery adheres to defined architectural standards, quality gates, and acceptance criteria

• Maintain full accountability for the technical integrity and non-functional requirements of the system, including performance, scalability, security, availability, and maintainability

Requirements:

• Degree holder or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

• At least 8 years in system development including 5 years in a dedicated Architect role

• Experience in leading development teams to deliver full-lifecycle system implementations is essential

• Hands-on technical proficiency
  - Backend: Java and .NET technology stacks (at least one stake at senior level)
  - Frontend: modern frameworks (Angular/React) and web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+, TypeScript)
  - Data: relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data modeling
  - Integration: API design (RESTful, GraphQL, WebSockets)
  - Modern Tools: Containerization (e.g. Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
  - Infrastructure: High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and management

• With ability to coach and elevate the juniors’ technical skills to ensure high-quality code delivery

• Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
