The individual will support the development and maintenance of internal tools, for both, front-end applications and SQL backend processes. The same will work closely with senior developers within the global team and local business teams to troubleshoot issues, improve existing solutions, and help document technical changes.


The role will offer the opportunity to contribute to the future migration of our legacy systems to more modern platforms, making it a great fit for someone eager to grow and learn. The role also encompasses the support of the local IT function, supporting the local trainee, assisting in troubleshooting local business team issues, resolving where possible and escalating if needed.

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of front-end applications for internal users.
  • Write, optimise, and debug complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for backend data processing.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot application issues, providing timely fixes and workarounds.
  • Document code changes, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support quality control efforts by creating test cases, executing tests.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing processes and tools.
  • Support the local facilities team with technical support where needed
  • Support & develop the skills of the local trainee developer
  • Familiarity with core data architecture principles, including data modelling, schema design, normalisation, and best practices for scalable, high-performance database structures.
  • Experience or coursework in VB.NET development.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Basic knowledge of UI/UX principles.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation using PowerShell or Python.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools.
  • Understanding of Fund industry, Finance or Business acumen in general.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics with a strong interest in Computer Science.
  • Hands-on experience (academic, internship, or professional) with VBA for applications.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and T-SQL (writing efficient queries, stored procedures, transaction handling).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new languages and frameworks.
