Job Summary

Manage and support diverse operating systems and hardware infrastructure, respond to incidents promptly, maintain system documentation, collaborate with vendors, and ensure compliance and continuous training to optimize IT system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage operating systems including Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu), Solaris, IBM AIX, and Oracle Linux to ensure stable IT environments
  • Manage system software and hardware such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Azure AD, clustering solutions, SAN/NAS storage, and virtualization platforms to maintain infrastructure integrity
  • Respond to system incidents based on severity levels, meeting service level agreements to minimize downtime and impact
  • Analyze and resolve problems quickly under pressure, making effective decisions to restore system functionality
  • Follow incident management workflows and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant issue resolution
  • Maintain and update system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and daily checklists to support operational continuity
  • Generate timely and accurate reports on system performance, capacity planning, and incident analysis to inform management decisions
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, telecommunication operators, ISPs, and service providers to coordinate system support and maintenance
  • Participate in transition planning and support onboarding of new systems and services to ensure smooth integration
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, information security standards, and health and safety regulations to maintain operational integrity
  • Deliver continuous training to enhance team knowledge and skills in system administration and management

Required competencies and certifications

  • ITIL certification to support effective IT service management
  • Relevant system certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or RHCSA to validate technical expertise

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma in Information Technology or related field as foundational education
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing system and hardware infrastructure to demonstrate practical proficiency

Other Information

  • Ability to work on standby, including nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring 24/7 support and escalation availability
