Job Description:

At TI, System Engineers serve as the technical bridge between TI’s global customers, field teams and internal product development teams. This role combines customer engagement, system-level technical expertise and cross-functional leadership to identify market opportunities, shape competitive roadmaps, define differentiated products and lead product execution from concept through release.

RGB LED Driver System Engineer’s responsibilities may include:

  • Customer Engagement: Proactively initiate and maintain technical engagements with global customers and TI field teams. Build trusted relationships, stay close to evolving customer needs and pain points, and gather first-hand market and system insights through direct customer interaction.
  • Roadmap Influence: Shape competitive product roadmaps and partner with marketing and applications teams to prioritize opportunities that strengthen TI’s market leadership.
  • Product Definition: Translate customer and market insights into differentiated product concepts and IC definitions, while balancing customer value, technical feasibility, manufacturability, cost and schedule.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead technical alignment throughout product development when working with design and backend teams. Constructively challenge assumptions, identify technical gaps and drive cross-functional teams toward timely decisions and issue closure.
  • Portfolio Promotion: Promote existing product portfolio by clearly presenting product differentiation, enabling sales and field applications teams, and supporting strategic customer opportunities to accelerate design-ins and design wins.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical literature, including product specifications, datasheets etc.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the development or application of analog and mixed-signal ICs.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with customers, uncover their needs and pain points, and drive the resolution of customer technical problems
  • Experience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins by providing system solutions
  • Fundamental understanding of analog and mixed-signal technologies, digital control, communication interfaces and power design.
  • Working knowledge of the semiconductor product development lifecycle, including product definition, IC design, test, validation, qualification, production ramp and release.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.

  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Hands-on with system evaluation, board-level debugging and common laboratory equipment
