Systems Analyst (Endpoint Engineering)
Summary
An on-site Systems Analyst role on the Endpoint Engineering team at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. The analyst gathers and documents user requirements, analyzes and documents 'as is' and 'to be' clinical/business processes, assists with vendor selection, and supports system implementations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
We are searching for a Systems Analyst (Endpoint Engineering) – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will develop clinical/business solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow with individual tasks and transactions within Integrated Delivery System.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Translates users’ needs into detailed requirement specifications
• Assists users in determining specific requirements to increase system effectiveness
• Analyze and evaluate existing and /or proposed systems
• Document the “as is” the “to be” clinical/business processes
• Assists in vendor analysis and selection
• Investigate alternative solutions including feasibility studies using results from vendor analysis/evaluations
• Supports the system installation through the implementation cycle
• Performs configuration analysis for system design associated with small and less complex projects
• Analyzes system problems and modifications
• Coordinates implementation and upgrades of systems
Skills & Requirements
• Required H.S. Diploma or GED
• Required 4 years' experience in information systems
• Bachelor’s degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience
• Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
• Up to one (1) year of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for the one (1) year of required information systems experience on a month-to-month basis
