Systems Engineer
Summary
Manages and supports IT infrastructure including Microsoft Servers, virtualization, storage, and Office 365, providing L1/L2 support, security compliance, and project leadership.
- 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including:
- Microsoft Servers, Exchange, Active Directory, SQL Servers
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Storage solutions (SAN/NAS), backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam, Veritas)
- Microsoft Office 365 administration and hybrid permissions management
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows Servers, Exchange Servers, SQL, and Office 365.
- Hands-on experience in patch management, security compliance, and disaster recovery.
- Ability to monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and manage IT system upgrades.
- Experience in IT project management, including system installations, GPO deployments, and web security management for ERP applications.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with vendors and customers.
- Experience with web development in C#, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, and ASP.NET.
- Exposure to Red Hat System Administration.
- Familiarity with CCNA-level networking concepts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSA)
- VMware Certified Engineer
- Backup certifications (Veeam, Commvault)
- CCNA, Red Hat System Administration I (Preferred)
- Provide L1 & L2 remote support for IT infrastructure via ticketing tools, emails, and calls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Servers, Exchange, Active Directory, SQL, VMware, Hyper-V, and Office 365 issues.
- Administer user accounts, manage hardware/software inventory, and ensure license compliance.
- Oversee system upgrades, patch management, and life cycle management for servers and workstations.
- Manage data center operations, including virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, and backup solutions.
- Conduct monthly health checks on IT infrastructure and submit reports to customers.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and operational best practices.
- Oversee Microsoft Office 365 tenant operations and escalate issues to Microsoft support when required.
- Support vulnerability management, security compliance, and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead IT infrastructure projects, including system installations, GPO deployments, and ERP web security management.
- Prepare and submit monthly service desk, storage, and print reports.
- Assist in tape backup operations and provide after-hours support as needed.
